| The new Xbox 360 update brings along the avatar marketplace....and awards! | | Hey all!
This discussion is more-so directed at anybody with an XBOX 360, and was involved in the free update that brought along the avatar marketplace.Does anyone know of any of the avatar awards? Which games have it already?
A way to KIND of know which ones WILL have an avatar award is when you pop the game in your 360, let it load, and a pop up states that there is a patch update.So far from my games, I've noticed this happened for Uno...this is all the time I had for games over the weekend hee hee.Did anyone managed to get an avatar award yet? Or noticed any games that now currently listed it from your avatar menu as an available award to BE rewarded to you?Or know how to gain this avatar? I can't seem to find any pictures yet, but give it time of course, the update was only last week, the 11th of August I believe it was, 2009 of course.I expect Fable 2 to have some, since I've noticed the lovely "Corset" is available for purchase in the marketplace...*cross fingers* | |
| | New xbox 360 games?? | | lets face it, you easily get tired of playing the same old video games over and over. im in the market for a new one. however i dont know which to buy... I know for sure tho that i want either a sports game, a micelaneous game, or a shooting game. i have also narrowed my choices down to these. Fifa 2008, Tony hawks breaking ground, need for speed, and gears of war 2. see i want a game with excellent graphics but one that will keep me interested for the entire time i play. See if anyone caN HELP me out. also if there are any game suggestions that would be accepted as well. | |

| | The New XBOX 360 Elite: 120GB HD, HDMI Support, and Black | | The New xbox 360 called "Elite" will be only for limited edition. The case, controller and live headset will all be black. The hard disk will be 120gb and an it will add an hdmi support that the previous editions (core and premium) do not have. Elite models run cooler than normal 360s. Thus, avoids the 3 red light problem of the console.

| Anyone use a modified rapid fire XBox controller? | | I'm a new XBox 360 player and while I definitely spend too much time playing when I should be doing other things, it doesn't change the fact that I suck and lose like 9 times out of 10 when I'm playing online games with my friends (or with random strangers).I was trying to find strategies online because I figured "hey, I need to be able to compete with these people who have been playing for much longer" and I found some reference to modified controllers that have rapid fire settings added on ( http://www.evilcontrollers.com/ ). Has anyone used these before? Are they legit? Are they detectable? I don't want to get banned from playing online because I use a modified controller or anything.So for anyone who has used a modded XBox controller, what has your experience been?Thanks! | |
| | My idea of making money using adsense | | I was wondering what you guys think of my idea. I am going to completely design my own website for the new xbox 360 game Forza motorsport 3 that comes out in the fall. It is probably going to be the most popular racing game so far in the gaming industry. I am going to complete it and publish it when the game comes out. But for now I am going to kind of make it but just with a few things like when the game comes out, what kind of features it will have on it, and I will put a link to my new forza 3 blog which also has adsense on it that I get 50% of the profit. I will probably put a couple of advertisements on my website for now. I am going to use yahoo for my web host because it is pretty cheap and you get unlimited space to do anything you want. I am going to use mylot to pay for yahoo. So what do you guys think of this. Should I do anything else? Any better ways of doing this that you guy could think of?

| Teens and Rent-A-Center | | Last month my 17 year old stepson came home with a brand new XBox 360. When asked where he got it, he said it was a Valentine's Day present from his girlfriend. It seemed like a pretty expensive gift for a 17 year old to buy considering she doesn't have a real job and only works maybe 3 hours on weekends when she goes to his job with him. But I remembered he'd ask me how lay-away at Kmart works so we all just assumed that they had done that and had been paying it off over the 8-10 weeks lay-away allows.Well yesterday I was on the phone with his mom and she asked if he still had the XBox and then told me that the girlfriend had gotten it from Rent-A-Center and was making $30 a month payments on it![em]angry[/em]Now, I've never used Rent-A-Center but I've heard stories about people who have in the end paid thousands of dollars for small items like tv's and VCRs just because they went through places like that.So now we have two teenagers who make $80 a week (on a good week) between them, making $30 a month payments on an XBox 360, trying to buy a second vehicle, and not trying too hard to not become parents.....Do teenagers brains just not function at... | |

| The true meaning of Christmas | | Christmas is a festive holiday where everyone in a person's family and probably even their friend's get together to celebrate a joyous holiday. The day when Christ is born and we are all thankful for his actions of giving us everlasting life by cleansing us of our sins. However, this holiday has become twisted into more of a gift-giving season. Now a days people more specifically children are only awaiting Christmas because they can't wait to get their new XBOX 360 or power rangers toy. Is the meaning of Christmas being lost as decades and centuries go by. Will we soon forget the sole origin of Christmas? Will giving and receiving presents be the new purpose and reason for Christams? Or is it just another symbolic way of expressing thanks and gratitude? I would like to know your views on this. | |
| | I have a gaming convert... | | Alright, so I have known this person for a while now and all I ever hear is how stupid gamers are. Yes, I know...it is a sore spot between us two. Not terrible mind you, but enough to be a bother. Today this person looks at me and sayd they are buying a new Xbox 360 to play an airplane game. I almost fell over! Couldn't believe it at all. Who would have forseen that? Any other forum members who know former non-gamers who came over to the "darkside":D
