myLot Discussions| Shrek for GameCube! | | Now, I'll admit, I've never been a self proclaimed video game enthusiast. However, I recent purchased my very first game cube. Now I know that's about 10 years too late but yet still just as fun! Anyways, among the myraid of games I've purchased, one is particularly troubling and difficult for the novice gamer. That would be the Shrek Extra Large game. And that's where you wonderful folks on mylot come in....any good suggestions/hints/solutions that you can offer? PS my favorite part of the game so far is the practice/training session where you eat a pepper and burp to stun your opponent....then punch him out! I could have kept playing that part for hours!
| | Gamecube RPGs | | There are very little topics on this, so I will start this one off.
I am a massive fan of rpg games, and I would like to know what people think is the best RPG on the GC.
There are not too many to name, but I believe the best for me is Tales Of Symphonia. I know a lot of people will probably say Zelda. I will admit that the 2 zelda games are a great play, but don't compare to ToS.
| | | Donkey Kong Jungle Beat for Nintendo Gamecube | | Who has played this game for Gamecube? I recently purchased it with it being majorly on sale and still new in box because the stores are starting to get rid of their Gamecube stock. I think it is a kind of fun game to play with the drums being the controls and you also clapping to do things. | |
| | Gamecube version VS Playstation 2 version | | Which one's the best?? I don't know really but, I think the gamecube version has more realistic gameplay than the PS2 version. I don't own a GameCube but as I've researched, the difference between the two is all about its graphics and the effects of the game. The PS2 had more extras than the GC, including the SEPARATE WAYS or THE ANOTHER ORDER in Japanese format. Another is, the movie browser that enables you to watch the cutscenes from the game. AND some nice additional gangster costume of Leon, and the Knight suit of Ashley that makes her invincible from bullets. And don't forget the P.R.L, a weapon that can defeat any enemy in sight. While the gamecube version has more effects than the PS2 version, unlike the PS2, the GC has a smoother graphica
s and has more lighting effects than the PS2. And it's cutscenes is like from the metal gear solid series, that if the character had the different costume, still the same in the cutscene. The PS2, had a default costume that makes kinda' dissapointing. Both formats were good though, the PC version was the crapiest of all.
| | GameCube | | Face it: Nintendo might not be the leader in the next generation of console gaming, but its sure makes plenty of great games. So don't worry, you don't have to be stuck with a purple GameCube. Get the black edition for that Mario-meets-Darth Vader look. | |
| | Thanks and Bye GameCube | | Im not sure what Nintendo's point was with the Gamecube, other than to just keep trucking along. The system didn't exhibit the sense of purpose the wii ( gaming for everyone!) or nintendo ds ( so weird it might just work!) did. It was a machine for playing the notbest "Zelda", the notbest "Mario" and some other games. For a couple of years Nintendo claimed that games made to be played with a game boy Advance wired to a GameCube would be the next big thing. It never was. I had fun with the system. I used its silly handle to tote it into my bag and into friends houses. I relished its wireless Wavebird controller. I played "Killer 7" to the end. Now it's going in the trunk, its half-decade well spent. It may not be the best system ever, but it sure did make an impact on me. What about you? Thanks Gamecube;)

I have found many tips for the PC and Playstation versions but have been unsuccessful in finding any for the Gamecube. Help please!erent costume, still the same in the cutscene. The PS2, had a default costume that makes kinda' dissapointing. Both formats were good though, the PC version was the crapiest of all.
| | Play gamecube version on wii?? | | I literally just took my wii out of the box (yikes...read that sentence again!) and I'm curious if anyone has played the GC version of the game on the wii (with the gamecube controller obviously)?? Also...any opinions as to wii version vs. cube version??
